Personal Topic: Swimming and it's emotional benefits

As I have said a million times, I really do not like the outdoors. But one thing that I love like crazy is swimming. Pools, lakes, rivers, oceans, hot tubs, bath tubs, I love it. Water is one of my favorite places to be and I love to swim. I have a pool in my backyard, so I spend a lot of time swimming in the summer, but when I was younger, I swam on a swim team. I may have kinda sucked, but I did get second place once and that was quite the accomplishment for me haha. Anyways, swimming has always been a way for me to enjoy the outdoors without having to deal with extreme heat. Outdoor activity is a great way to become one with nature and spiritually connect with the world around you and your god, and I always feel like I'm missing out by disliking the outdoors, but the fact that I connect with water so deeply makes me enjoy it that much more. Swimming is a freeing feeling for me, and puts me in such a peaceful state of mind. I feel one with the earth when I am in a lake or ocean. Swimming is my version of thru hiking.
