Personal blog #1

A couple days ago when I was walking to the gym, some guys came up to me and asked if I would participate in a survey and then asked why I thought church was on Sunday.  At first I thought these guys were some students doing a project but after the conversation it was pretty clear that these guys came to promote their church that was called Church of God.  The conversation was interesting because their religion and beliefs were basically using the Bible as a handbook where as I feel that many major Christian branches only use the Bible as a way to justify their actions and practices which leaves the members to decide how important the Bible is to them.  From my personal experiences at Catholic masses, the priest and congregation just read the daily readings which are usually the important and significant events of the Old Testament, and the majority of the events of Jesus's life which leaves almost a third or half of the Bible left out during mass.  I feel that the Bible is an important source for Christianity and can be used for help and support in times of need.
