Natural Setting #1

We went on a short visit to the Noland trail for class today and we got to see a few things that were interesting to me. I have been to the Noland trail several times over the course of my years here at CNU but because i ran it i have never really put any focus on the nature around me (other than dodging roots so i don't trip and die). I got to learn about some of the differences in types of trees which is something i have never really thought about before. We got to see what a tree looks like when a branch falls before it was dead which looked different than branches that fell when the tree was already dead. we finished up by watching the sunset over the river and it was a nice class and made me want to pay more attention to things like that in the future.
