Mexico
One of the places they talk about that people pilgrimage to is Mexico. They talk about that as one of the first places where christians pilgrimage. The book discusses how millions pilgrimage to many holy sites some as old as cortez's rule. This was surprising to me and stuck out because i never really thought about Mexico as a place to pilgrimage. Because we never talked about Mexico in this class so i never really gave it much thought in the aspect of a place to pilgrimage. It is not surprising that it is a christian pilgrimage however because Mexico is a majorly christian county. I thought the whole idea of a Mexican pilgrimage was very interesting to me.
