Seek God
As I was deciding on what I wanted to write my last personal blog on, I came across this short poem that speaks truth into a Christian's life. God is what we need, seek Him.
SEEK
by Joyce Carr Stedelbauer
To SEEK God, or to search for God means to research Him
in order to know Him.
~ Though He is invisible, He is Omnipresent.
~ Though we are limited, He is Omniscient.
~ Though we are weak, He is Omnipotent.
~ We are fickle, He is Immutable.
~ We are angry, He is Love.
~ We are confused, He is Order.
~ We are hurting, He is Peace.
And He promised if we SEEK Him, we shall surely find Him.
This poem made me think of the Appalachian Trail, and the motives individuals have in completing it. For many, if not all, they are searching for something. For some of them it is peace. For others, it is simply for experience, and for others they are searching for God. For those who go seeking God, they find Him in profound ways. God can be found anywhere, for much like this poem states He is omnipresent. For though we may be fickle, which is another reason why people may hike the trail -- to change, to be molded -- God is immutable, unchangeable. For when those on the trail become injured or hurt, He is peace for them.
